At the 2001 Horticultural Show at the Malden Centre, New Malden, the Association was very pleased to be awarded "Best in Show' for its display of fruit and vegetables grown on the site. These did not have to conform to normal show standards as the display was just of choice of varieties and the method of display.
A silver cup, rosette, certificate and £25 was awarded - the prize money was donated to the Gardeners Benevolent Society.
We have not had the same success in recent years bu we keep striving......
