A number of other small mechanised gardening aids are owned by the Association which are available to the membership for use on a free basis but at their own risk and only after they have been suitably advised as to the equipment’s operating instructions! Maintenance of the equipment is done by one of the Association’s officers. An extensive water supply services the entire site and there are no plots which are more than a few yards from a supply tank. Running water is available each year from 1st April to the end of November.
Stable manure is regularly delivered to the site. Members are permitted to take as much manure as they wish and most have availed themselves of the opportunity to construct composting heaps on their plots.
The Association also runs its own seed ordering service in the Autumn and also arranges the supply of an organic chicken manure which may be purchased by the membership at competitive prices.
The site has its own car park with off the road facilities for the parking of about ten vehicles.
