The Self Management System
The officers of the Alric Avenue Allotments Association consist of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and ten committee members. The Association holds an Annual General Meeting at which all members can express their views on the running of the Association and at which the officers of the Association are elected. The officers and committee members meet five or six times each year in order to organise working parties for site maintenance and to undertake and supervise the general administration of the site in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames as Landlords in the leasehold agreement with the Association. The Association has also formulated its own rules designed specifically to enhance the appearance of the site and ensure generally harmonious relations among the membership. It is a requirement of membership that adherence to these rules is personally accepted by each subscriber. The Association charges an annual rental of £32 for each ten rod plot. Half plots are also available at the directly proportional rate. There are reductions for senior citizens and those on income support. Click here for details on the committee |
